Liberalism never sells.

Air America to close, files for bankruptcy

Air America is finally shutting down. Since its emergence in 2004 as an alternative to widely popular conservative talk radio, it has been nothing short of a monumental disappointment for the left.

You could characterize its dismal five year existence as a locomotive just barely starting to get power, speeding up to about the pace of a walk, derailing, and coming to a dormant halt in the dirt.

The whole idea of liberal talk radio is a lunacy. It was entrepreneurial suicide. Why? Because liberalism doesn't sell in America, and especially not on the radio waves.

And why does liberalism not sell? Because liberalism is a very small minority in America. True, bleeding heart, bluer than blue liberalism.

It's like trying to sell winter parkas in Egypt. It's just not needed, or wanted. People don't like hearing about saving caribou, homo rights, killing babies, reaching out to people that hate us, apologizing for America, moral relativism, the glorification of big government and how you need their help. They don't want to hear that crap. I know I don't.

In the decimation of Air America and the slumping ratings as PMSNBC, while conservative talk radio and Fox News ratings continue to skyrocket, it is only evident that Americans crave and yearn for conservative voices and opinions, not liberal ones.

The only reason liberals sometimes gain widespread support, as in the election of Barack Obama, is on account of ignorance, stupidity, and blind following by hordes of Americans who don't follow or have little or no knowledge of politics or American history.

Maybe they should have called it Air Guevera or Air Mao. Might have sounded a little more attractive to the potential liberal audience.

I still believe real presidents dont apologize for America. That is why they have tried to shut down the conservative voices because a)they are jealous b)They fear the power the conservative talk radio and t.v have

Nobody wants to hear them blather on. Why do you think there are very few Liberal talk shows or radio shows.

True, so true. And this is why we have blogs like yours that maintain a steady following. We, as Conservatives, represent America in the majorital sense.

Is everyone in America a Conservative? No, of course not. And good thing, too. We need balance. Sure, would it be awesome to one day simply have nothing to say because we finally had real government that followed not only The Constitution, but the true will of The People and served us instead of lording it over us? For sure. But until that time, our voices matter, and our message is needed.

Hack, we have never met face-to-face. But with each new blog and with each new take of yours on Conservative Thought, I believe we have been cut from the same cloth.

You make me proud to be a Conservative American. You rock!

Long Live the Republic!

The best part was when they said the economy had really hit the radio business hard. Tell that to Rush, Glenn, Laura...

Looks like the economy has hit only boring liberal talk radio...
