3 L.A. teachers suspended over Black History Month celebration
Three teachers at a South Los Angeles elementary school have been suspended for allegedly encouraging students to celebrate O.J. Simpson, Dennis Rodman and RuPaul during Black History Month, officials said Wednesday.
Children at Wadsworth Avenue Elementary School were carrying pictures of the men at a parade Friday on the school playground, said Los Angeles Unified School District spokeswoman Gayle Pollard-Terry.
She said Supt. Ramon C. Cortines learned about the incident Tuesday and had the teachers, who are white, pulled from their classrooms for the duration of an investigation. The suspension is without pay for the first three days.

Some community leaders aren't satisfied with the suspensions and are calling for the dismissal of the instructors, who teach first, second and fourth grades.
"I just can't fathom what these teachers were thinking of except to make a mockery of African American history," said Leon Jenkins, president of the Los Angeles branch of the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People.
Pollard-Terry said Simpson, Rodman and RuPaul were included on a list of prominent African Americans approved by the school for study during Black History Month.
She said the three teachers were believed to have suggested at least some of those names for the list.
The district dispatched a human relations and ethnic diversity team Wednesday to help the school prepare lessons that are "more appropriate for Black History Month," she added.
Oh, somebody gag me! "Human relations and ethnic diversity team". That's liberal double speak/code for the BS squad.
If the school approved of those "questionable" black figures then they have no right to suspend the teachers for including them in their study! Helloooo? McFly? Anyone in there McFly???
In my opinion, if the black supremacists want to have a designated month to worship their race, then anything is fair game. And if you ask me, Martin Luther King (the plagiarizing, Marxist, womanizer) and Barack Obama (the narcissistic, liar in chief) are no better than OJ, Rodman, and RuPaul.
Black History month is one of the biggest shams out there. Nothing like a little racial exclusiveness and finger pointing towards the white man. The hypocrisy is just stunning.

It's more obvious hypocrisy. The NAACP will defend these fools all day long and then suddenly praising them is offensive. I think it's hilarious to watch them eat their own words. You would be crucified if you called them "colored" but they can use that word in their own organization's name. Hypocrisy! Not that I think the teachers were right either- It was disrespectful and classless, but still, I appreciate them outing the NAA*censored*P for the race-baiting idiots they are.
Ru Paul is an individual who stand up completely for what he / she believes, and is very successful.
Dennis Rodman has been a successful athelete, works with charity without calling attention to himself, and again - he's quite the individual, not a follower by any stretch.

It's a no-win situation. Make fun of them or discredit them, you're a racist. Attempt to give them credit, you're a racist. Unless you fall in lock-step - you're a racist.
