Why you never rob an Italian restaurant.

This is a local story I just had to share.

Armed robber finds himself outgunned at Agatucci's

A man attempted to hold up a local restaurant Saturday night but failed after the owners drew their own weapons and chased the suspect away.

Demario Scott, 25, of 1107 W. Wilcox Ave. entered Agatucci's, 2607 N. University St., about 10:15 p.m. with a gun and demanded the owners empty their safe, police said.

Tony, Dan and Jim Agatucci all pulled out their own guns and Dan yelled at the suspect to freeze, said Dan Agatucci on Sunday night.

Scott panicked and ran out of the restaurant.

The Agatuccis chased Scott west on West Gift Avenue and fired several shots, according to police. Police are investigating whether any of the Agatuccis fired at the suspect or just into the air.

Scott was arrested near his home in the 1100 block of West Wilcox Avenue and booked on charges of armed robbery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and not having a FOID card.

I'm sure Demario will think twice about robbing an Italian joint next time.

I can only imagine the fate of the restaurant owners had such a scene transpired in THIS country!

Reminds me of a similar story a while ago when some numbnut scumbag pulled a gun on the clerk in a diner right across the street from the local police precinct HQ, and every patron in the restaurant immediately responded by pulling out their guns and training them on the stupid pusbag: the place was lousy with off duty policemen, all armed to the teeth.
