Happy Veterans Day!

Veterans Day, America, and Democrat Delusion

Last night I saw a special on PBS about Veterans Day. It made me proud to be an American. It reignited the patriotism I once had before being subjected to hearing constant attacks and smears against America these past few years. Everyone is so negative towards this country and I don't know why. Is it because they are jealous of our success? Is it because of our global influence? Is it because of our "evil" presence in Middle Eastern affairs?

It doesn't matter. I know this country and everything it stands for is great. I don't need the election of the first black--well semi-black, President to feel good about my country. I don't feel patriotic only when people that I agree with are in power. And why is it that the staunchest patriotism always comes from the right? Because conservatives believe in America. Conservatives realize the concepts of duty, honor, morality, and personal freedom. All concepts America was founded upon. That is why three quarters of our military view themselves as conservatives. That is why you never see an American flag next to a "Greenpeace" or "Bush Lied, People Died" bumper sticker, yet almost always you'll find one next to a yellow "Support the Troops" ribbon. That is why you will never see an American flag at a liberal themed anti-war protest, but you see hundreds of them at conservative rallies.



So while I watch this piece on PBS I see how grateful past generations of French and other European people were to our boys who fought so valiantly over there. The countless American cemeteries over there on foreign soil, and the citizens over there who pay their respects to these soldiers whom they don't even know, sometimes laying flowers on their tombstones, or simply visiting their graves and saying a prayer. It really reminded me why we are such a great nation.

Imagine a world without America. Imagine the utter despair our world would fall into. So many immigrants dreamed of a life in America, the same immigrants that passed through Ellis Island 100 years ago and the same ones that flock to our country today, legally and illegally. People yearn for America. They want to taste it. They can see that "shining city on a hill" as the great Ronald Reagan said, and they are drawn to it!

This country, and our fighting forces, sacrifice more for others than any other nation on earth. And while we have our faults, like every other nation, I will not give in to the constant pessimism from the left. Because conservatives know the core principles that make this country great, something liberals will never understand.

Thank a veteran today. Screw Obama. And God Bless America.

And yes, that is exactly what it is. I just watched a report by ABC News that was somehow correlating the events of yesterday to the ongoing strain the military is under by the wars overseas. I might be able to understand this point of view if we were dealing with Bob Jones of Topeka, Kansas. Instead we are dealing with Nidal Malik Hassan, born of Palestinian parents, shouting "Allahu Akbar!" while shooting, who has said Muslims should stand up to fight the aggressor (America), who has repeatedly and vociferously criticized the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even sympathized with Muslim suicide bombers.

All this points to one thing and one thing only. The same ideology that caused 9/11 and the same ideology that caused the bombings in London, Madrid, Beslan, Bali, and Kenya. The same ideology that fuels violence in nearly every Islamic country in the world. If you fail to put the pieces together you are less than a small child putting together a 6 piece puzzle of a giraffe.

It pains me to see something like this happen. I have friends stationed at Fort Hood. It is almost more painful to see fellow brothers and sisters killed here at home where they should be safe, and killed by another soldier. But what is even more shocking and appalling to me is the blatant denial I've seen in the media as they deviate from the real source of this shooting.

*TRUTH ALERT*

THIS WAS A MUSLIM TERRORIST ATTACK ON AMERICA. Not some byproduct of extensive strain on the military or because he was called a "camel jockey" by fellow soldiers as Micheal Moore would like you to believe (Waaaaaaaaa!!!) or because of some pre conceived conspiracy plot by the government to frame Hasan, demonize the Muslim enemy, and reinvigorate support for the war.


What is even more scary and downright DISGUSTING is Obama's initial lack of interest or sympathy after the shooting...

...and his BS line saying we should not jump to conclusions!

Way to go Obama. Keep proving to America just how much of a dumbass you really are.

A law enforcement official identified the shooting suspect as Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan. The official said Hasan, believed to be in his late 30s, was killed after opening fire at the base. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
The official says investigators are trying to determine if Hasan was his birth name, or if he changed his name and converted to Islam at some point in his life.

Italians reacted with outrage on Tuesday after a European court ruled that displaying crucifixes in the country's schools violated the principle of secular education.
Italy's education minister condemned the judgment by the European Court of Human Rights, saying that the Christian cross was a symbol of the country's Roman Catholic religion and cultural identity.

"The presence of the crucifix could be ... disturbing for pupils who practiced other religions or were atheists, particularly if they belonged to religious minorities," the court said. "The compulsory display of a symbol of a given confession in premises used by the public authorities... restricted the right of parents to educate their children in conformity with their convictions," it added.

Imagine this. At a time of political turmoil, a charismatic, telegenic new leader arrives virtually out of nowhere. He offers a message of hope and reconciliation based on compromise and promises to marshal technology for a better future that will include universal health care.

The news media swoons in admiration -- one simpering anchorman even shouts at a reporter who asks a tough question: "Why don't you show some respect?!" The public is likewise smitten, except for a few nut cases who circulate batty rumors on the Internet about the leader's origins and intentions. The leader, undismayed, offers assurances that are soothing, if also just a tiny bit condescending: "Embracing change is never easy."

So, does that sound like anyone you know? Oh, wait -- did I mention the leader is secretly a totalitarian space lizard who's come here to eat us?

Welcome to ABC's "V," the most fascinating and bound to be the most controversial new show of the fall television season. Nominally a rousing sci-fi space opera about alien invaders bent on the conquest (and digestion) of all humanity, it's also a barbed commentary on Obamamania that will infuriate the president's supporters and delight his detractors.

Maybe all the shows on TV these days aren't complete nonsense after all!

'Antichrist' movie "is the most beautiful piece of muddled art you might never see"

It just goes to show you how desensitized people have become that a movie crammed full of explicit sexual imagery, sadomasochism, sexual mutilation, and other horrific acts can pass as "beautiful art". Maybe I'm a simpleton, but to me a movie whose sole purpose and motivation is to shock the viewer through perpetual and graphic depictions of such acts is not art, but plain EVIL. This movie makes Hostel and Saw look like Disney cartoons. And it's beyond me why Lars Von Trier is thought to be some brilliant genius with a mysterious secret message in this movie. You know, sometimes people just think too much.
