Look at the numbers.
The race in Virginia is tied according to liberal leaning Quinnipac's latest poll. Romney has pulled within 4 points in Nevada according to today's poll from Magellan. Yesterday's PPP poll has Romney only down 5 in New Mexico. And the latest poll in New Hampshire has Romney within 4 points. All recent polling data in Michigan show a virtually tied race while Obama maintains a 4 point edge in Wisconsin.
These are all solid blue states that appeared to be easy Obama territory. No longer. Former blue states are on the table.
