A conversation with an Obama lover....

It makes me so angry sometimes when you try and talk some sense into a person and they just will not accept it. Yesterday, my friend and I were talking and somehow, unfortunately for her, the conversation turned to politics. Now, I knew she liked Obama but I did not fully understand the magnitude of her ignorance until now. We first talked about abortion. She said that if a baby has to depend on the mother for life then it does not constitute human life. Great, fine. I asked her if she has seen footage of actual abortions, babies squirming in the womb while being terminated like some clone embryo in a science fiction movie. She looked at me for a moment, and shifted gears...

"Ok, well I'm talking about once the woman has just learned she is pregnant. The early stages. That's when it should be done."

"So when that embryo is fertilized and growing into a human being, it can killed off simply because you think it should?"

"Well why not? Just because I get pregnant doesn't mean I should put my whole life on hold for a baby!"

"So don't get knocked up. It's that simple. You mean to tell me you'd destroy that baby for your own convenience?"

"I'm not talking D and E here!" (partial birth abortion)

From there I promptly asked her if she agreed with partial birth abortion and mutilation of human babies. Of course she didn't agree with that. Being the upright and educated citizen I am, I informed her that her man Obama DID in fact support such a practice. The look on her face was priceless. Of course I didn't get a solid answer.

"What if your mother had aborted you?" I asked.

"Well it would have been her right."

I just shook my head.

From there we moved to the election. She said Obama was by far the best candidate. I asked her why she thought that.

"Well McCain was just another Bush. He was a rich, white old man." (yes, those were her exact words.)

"So you voted for Obama because he had dark skin?"

"Well no!"

"But if McCain was young and black, and Obama was old and white, but they still had the same views...how you you have voted then?"

After thinking about that for long enough without giving me an answer I called her a racist and continued.

"Do you know about anything Obama believes?"

"Well he's for change!"

Ha! Of course. I laughed and asked her what "Change" means. Of course, she, like every other ignorant Obamabot in America, had not the slightest clue. To sum up the rest of our discussion, she said we should not be in Afghanistan, nor should we have gone there after 9/11. Now, by this point my blood was already boiling but this took the cake. I had already destroyed every idiotic argument she made at this point, thrown them to the ground and stomped them into the dust. But after hearing this I had no desire to continue. I couldn't even have a logical discussion with her. What's new?

Talking to an Obama lover is like talking to a brick wall. You give them facts, reason, and sanity and they just look at you like they don't even know what those words mean. You rebut their arguments with rock solid logic and still they don't listen. What is one to do?

I've had internet access for around 12 years. I remember debating Democrats when Clinton was in the White House, and they were still the same. Blind and ignorant to the corruption and incompetence going on in the White House. They cant argue facts, always slipping into name calling. And they smugly think they are the smart, independent thinking ones.

I had a conversation with an obamite the other day and he told me he voted for Obama because he was tired of the excessive government spending under the Republicans. Apparently he hasn't seen the tab for the Health Care bill yet or the stimulus package. It's like talking to a wall.
