Charlie Rangel is a proven crook and tax cheat who was convicted of 11 different ethics violations 2 years ago. The Congress knew it and Rangel admitted to it. He is one of the most corrupt people in the Congress, Democrat and Republican.
That doesn't matter though. Let's vote for him anyway. Goodness, do we need any more proof of the deteriorating intellectual state of the American electorate?
It was Benjamin Franklin that said, "This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins."
America is a nation not of well informed people, but uninformed people who vote based on feelings instead of principles. Or sometimes they vote in order to obtain freebies. Or maybe based on name recognition, when they actually have zero knowledge of a single thing that candidate stands for. You and I both know people who vote this way, and in a rare instance of bipartisanship here, I am referring to both Democrats/liberals and Republicans/conservatives. Inform yourself before you vote! And if you aren't going to do that, you forfeit that privilege. I am a firm believer in requiring a minimum IQ/placement test in order to vote, along with raising the voting age to 25. Maybe even 28.
Uninformed voters get crooks and tyrants elected to positions of power...Republican and Democrat.

Keep in mind, this is Harlem. On the bright side, at least Charles Barron lost.
ReplyDeleteWell, according to Steven Plaut's article from the American Thinker, there are two lefts: The Stupid Left and the Satanic Left. I guess most Harlem voters belong to the former...I wonder which category Charlie falls under...
ReplyDeleteI'll post the link just in case you haven't read the article. It helped give me a better understanding of Democrats as a whole.
