There are the soaring gas prices. But we haven't heard much from the media about gas hitting 6 bucks a gallon. Instead we get to hear about racism and birth control and SSG Robert Bales. When we do hear something about the highest gas prices of all time in America, it usually goes something like this...
How High Gas Prices Could Help Obama
Now, when faced with a crushing defeat of Barack Obama's cornerstone piece of legislation, the very thing that defines his entire presidency, in the Supreme Court, the liberal activists within the media just can't help but wish for the best. Take George Steponallofus for example...
Can President Obama Win By Losing at the Supreme Court?
or Frank Rich...
Why the Supreme Court Can Only Help Obama
or Mark Penn...
Could defeat for Obamacare mean victory for Obama?
Am I the only one that finds this nonsense utterly laughable? Looks like the Obama koolaid is a'flowin already in 2012! Get ready for the spinzone all the way to November.

(wow, I certainly don't remember George W. Bush getting that kind of treatment when gas prices peaked during his presidency....considerably lower than today.)

I've always wondered if they get their Koolaid by tapping Koolaid trees.
ReplyDeleteThe bias is irrefutable. The spin is undeniable.
ReplyDeleteIf this guy started smacking his kids around, the media would say it was just him being a good father. If he cheated on Michelle (I wouldn't blame him) the media would say it was just a youthful indiscretion.
When ObamaCare fails, and it will, the media will be their to lick their master's wounds.
Tedious.
What's in it for the media people Hack? Money is all I can come up with. You got any other ideas?
ReplyDeleteAs far as tom hanks and the hollywood people - Good Lord can ya make em any more effing stupid.
None of this spin is surprising. Let's hope that people will start to see through it...it is so obvious.
ReplyDeleteI can see a loss in the Supreme Court working in Barry's favor. It gives him something to run against, since he obviously can't run on his record.
ReplyDeleteAnd all his PACs can run ads telling us we need Obama to appoint more SCOTUS members or it will be infinitely worse under those Wascally Republicans.
In my view, if ObamaCare is ruled against by SCOTUS, that ruling won't make a whit of difference in the coming election -- except possible to drive certain voters to cast their ballots for Obama -- voters who might not have voted at all. Obama and his minions, including the media, would spin the loss at SCOTUS as racist and/or behind the times (out of step with modern thinking).
ReplyDeleteGasoline prices are a different matter. Regardless of how little or how much control a President exerts over energy prices, the sitting President gets the blame when prices soar.
Myself, I don't drive enough to worry about the cost of filling up my gas tank. But my oil tanks? That's a different matter entirely! Like many in the Northeast, I heat with oil. The cost of conversion to natural gas requires a minimum outlay of $10,000 for me. Doable, but then if we all convert to natural gas, that price will soar as well. Then, what? People in the areas with coldest and harshest weather will freeze or go bankrupt. After all, let us recall that Obama has struck more than one blow at coal-fueled electricity generation as well. So, the costs of heating with electricity will soar too.
In addition to the above, the cost of gasoline is going to hit hard the costs of public school transportation; as a result of those rising costs, real-estate taxes will have to rise dramatically, too.
I can cite many other examples of the reverberating effects of rising gasoline prices. When people feel the pain in their pocketbooks, they will blame the present administration.
May the cost of gasoline get so painful before November that more people will scream, "ANYBODY BUT OBAMA!". Much like what happened in 1980 when Reagan was swept into office as a direct consequence of Americans getting fed up with waiting in lines at the pump.
