  1. The Dems violated the law and deserve to be held accountable for their actions.

  3. I'm with you. They are acting like spoiled brats (shocka) and should suffer the consequences. The Repubs should push this hard.

What, 'you' think the Dems wouldn't ?

And when was the last time the Repubs ran away like children? I say never. Someone prove me wrong.

It's time for the hypocritical children to receive some discipline.

  4. If the Republicans DON'T do something about this, the Dems have set a precedent, and at any time, if a group of lawmakers don't like what's happening, they'll be walking out on it.

But while they're gone, the Republicans can still do some legislating. Only budget bills need the 3/5 quorum (WI Constitution, Article VIII, Section 8 [Finance] - all other legislation can be done with a simple 50%+1 majority (ibid., Article IV, Section 7). They could conceivably run a bill which ends collective bargaining and decertifies all public employees, and follow it up with another bill which determines pay and bennies for public employees. They could put through a bunch of other stuff the Dems hate, as well, without needing the Dems in the Senate at all.

If nothing else, doing that might bring the Dems howling back, at which time they're either arrested, they go to the Chamber and vote on the Budget Bill, or both.
