While I have been absent in recent weeks from blogging and braving the tempest of politics on here, I thought it would be a good idea to give a much needed Christmas message this Christmas Eve.
What has this country come to? Every Christmas season our country becomes obsessed with materialistic desires, political correctness, and the secularization of a Christian holiday.
We are bombarded with news stories involving the prohibition of the Christian themes related to Christmas; atheism sucking the very fiber out of the holiday like a leech on the skin.
While Christianity-hating atheists do their best, and most often succeed in our weak society, to discredit the real meaning of Christmas, an almost worse trend has arisen.
Stuff. Stuff. And more stuff. Holiday spending is at an all time high this year. Christmas ads are so pervasive it's almost vomit inducing, enticing people to spend their way to happiness this year, and spend beyond their means.
People need to realize Christmas is not about gifts. It's not about reindeer, Santa, conifers, candy canes, or even Bing Crosby's White Christmas.
It's about the birth of Jesus and the gift he brought humanity, period. That should be at the forefront of everyone's mind this holiday season.
And while the previously mentioned things make for a magical holiday, the absolute gift of Jesus to the world is of much greater value, and that is something that the atheists, the tinsel, the mistletoe, and even the presents from loved ones cannot match.
Have a safe, and Blessed Christmas friends!

Good to hear from you, Hack! Great post; it sure gets MY amen. Merry Christmas and God bless you!
Merry Christmas and God Bless
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
Merry Christmas
A Very Merry Christmas to you and yours Hack!
While I am a God fearing man who follows Christ, I must plead guilty to succumbing to all the secular celebration. I love the classic songs and the whole Disney video, Christmas tree and Santa festivities.
On that subject, I think the humorless atheist prigs who hate Christmas show themselves for the fools that they are when they insist on banning non-religious symbols like Christmas trees.
Merry Christmas, Hack.
