Dearborn Hosts Arab International Festival
More than 300,000 people from across the country and Canada are expected to attend the Arab International Festival in Dearborn June 18-20.Carnival rides. Live music. Mediterranean food. Hot dog eating contests. Sounds like fun! Maybe I'll go next year and hope I don't get arrested for being Caucasian, as that might cause a disturbance within the Arab crowd.
The 15th annual festival will transform 14 blocks of Warren Avenue between Schaefer and Wyoming into the largest Arab-American celebration in the nation.
Attractions include carnival rides, live music and authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
Free passes to the new IMAX theater experience "Arabia" now showing at the Detroit Science Center, will be given away at the festival.
Leo's Coney Island in Dearborn will sponsor a Halal hot dog eating contest and will offer cash prizes to those who eat the most hot dogs.
The first ever "International Idol Contest" sponsored by Four Star Health will be held on June 19 beginning at 1 p.m. on the main adult stage.
When the footage is released it will be posted here.

Don't go Hack!
I, being in the Detoit-Metro area have never been to that hate fest but was near one similar @ Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit and even from a distance the BO stench was overpowering!
This is also how I know when to avoid a particular conveinence (party) store, BO present = muslim = avoidance
BO not detected = Christian Chaldean = safe area
It's not related, and yet it is: Has anyone who reads this blog ever read Sinclair Lewis' "It Can't Happen Here"?
I hate to go all pacifist, but we have not business is a strange muslim land run by socialists.
Time for us to pull out of Michigan.
Smythe: I'm afraid I haven't read that. What is it about if you wouldn't mind giving me a brief synopsis?
It's a little like "1984", except it's set in America and shows HOW such things could come to pass, as opposed to living with the already entrenched new system. Wikipedia can tell it better than I:
